Online Marketing Tools
Domains: You need a domain. You need to find a domain that will be easy to remember and easy to share. Instead of the long dragged out URLs from your companies, spice it up with a simple domain that can be forwarded. GoDaddy is the Grand Daddy of domains. They have the best prices and easy to work with. Get up to 5 new .COMs, $5.99 per year for the 1st year!![]()
Website/Hosting: I have used both Blogger and WordPress, both are free. This is a great resource for those that are new to blogging. If you are more experienced and want to host your own blog or lead capture or squeeze page, I would recommend BlueHost. It is the hosting service I use for all my sites and blogs. Very cheap, $6.95 for unlimited bandwidth!
List Creator. The entire point of getting a website or blog is to start creating your list. Your list is what you will market your products/service too. I have used many list building companies, and I recommend Aweber. They again, have stood the test of time, are very user friendly and makes list building easy to understand.
Text/SMS marketing: With smart phones practically ruling the world today, look into text marketing. Protexting is the service I have used, and it was pretty easy and straighforward.
Social Media Tools:
- PageModo: Facebook Fan Pages (with a Like Locker): See it in use at my Fan Page. Use Pagemodo to create a free Facebook Fanpage in minutes. Click Here!
- Bit.Ly. When publishing other URLs, shorten them first and track when other click on them… use http://bit.ly/. A great tool to bookmark.
- Alexa. This is the grand pooba of web monitoring stats. Check it out… see how your site is doing, compare it with others.
- Google Analytics is free. Track your website and analyze it. If you have a blog, check your platform (WordPress or Blogger) there are plugins for both that make this super simple to use. A must for all sites.
